My name is Tom Morris, I am a born and raised Delawarean. After completing high school, I enlisted in the Delaware Air National Guard as a Aeromedical Evacuation Flight Medic and I am still actively serving our country. I have served three tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn.
I found CrossFit in 2010 while stationed at Andrews Air force base in Washington D.C. Ever since then I have immersed myself in fitness, looking to share my knowledge and help as many people as possible find and learn the benefits of a healthy workout routine. In 2013, I had the distinct privilege of coaching at one of the greatest CrossFit boxes in the world, Kandahar CrossFit, located on Kandahar Airfield, Kandahar, Afghanistan. There, I not only had the privilege to train Americas finest, our nation’s military, but also had the privilege of training NATO forces from all around the globe as well as civilian contractors supporting the war efforts. I shared and learned coaching tactics from experienced CrossFit coaches from all around the world, including a 3 time Slovakian Olympic weightlifting champion.
A true passion of mine is learning and exploring new realms of fitness and being able to share that knowledge with anyone interested in becoming stronger and healthier. CrossFit is not only a fitness program to me, but a lifestyle. The community that surrounds what CrossFit is and what it stands for its truly unrivaled. I want to be instrumental in continuing to help my community thrive, and that is why I opened CrossFit Reconstructed in 2014.
