February's Athlete of the Month

You’ve probably seen Nate casually throwing 275# over his head or walking around the gym shirtless and shoeless after a post workout shower. Some of Nate’s hobbies included, shopping for female shorts, listening to music at extremely low volumes while exercising, dressing up as his favorite fast food dining establishment’s manager and cooking up some delicious smoked jerky. That being said, Nate is clearly one of the stronger athletes in the gym. Nate’s consistency in the gym, commitment to the programming and willingness to put in some additional effort is a great example of how the strong can get even stronger.

 

 

How long have you been doing CrossFit? Did you start with CFRC?

 

3 years. I started after the 2014 Open

 

Were you active before CrossFit?

 

Yes, played college sports and kept lifting/running after that.  

 

What is your best CrossFit memory/biggest accomplishment

 

Stringing together 3 years of nearly continuous "Dieting" and exercise

 

What physical and mental changes have you seen since starting CrossFit?

 

I'm more motivated and disciplined. But most of all, I'm stronger in the face of adversity, physical or mental adversity

 

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

 

Squat Snatch, no question about it

 

If you could take any piece of equipment home to workout with, which would you take?

 

Everyone knows I'd steal that GHD machine in a heartbeat.

 

What are your CrossFit goals for 2018?

 

I'd like to maintain my bodyweight. Snatching 275 would be a plus.

 

Would you recommend CrossFit Reconstructed to your family and friends?
